Location: Garland, TX

My client is a $2.5 billion company and is the world’s largest manufacturer of aloe vera products. They are also the largest exporter within the Dallas metropolitan area with the distribution of its products in over 130 countries throughout the world. The company occupies a 280,000 square foot state-of-the-art facility in Dallas, Texas. The Company has been in operation since the early 1980’s with product operations relocated to the current facility in the spring of 2006.

The Company has implemented and maintains an environmental management system based on the international standard ISO 14001:2004. The Company has also implemented and maintains a health and safety management system based on the British standard OHSAS 18001:1999.

This opening in their EHS department is a mid level opening. Target salary in the $50-65 range. They will need to work well independently. They will function as a "one man" EHS group. They will be the site EHS resource and be responsible for all EHS activities. I have attached a job description.

Project Safety Manager (2/4/10)

Location: Grand Junction, CO
Job Type: Temporary (approximately 7 months)

Project safety manager position opening with Shaw Construction, LLC (not part of the Shaw Group) in Grand Junction, Colorado. The position will be of approximately 7 month duration, assigned to a large project at the Veterans Hospital in town, which is scheduled to mobilize mid- to late February.

I do not know the complete details of the position, but I understand that the candidate should have at least 10 years safety experience – preferably in the construction industry. Other qualifications include “outreach” trained and familiarity with OSHA regs – as one would expect.

Program Manager Incident Strategy Trainer (2/4/10)

This position requires an experienced manager to drive security strategies and programs in support of our client facilities/operations worldwide. The professional in this position will provide guidance to the key business leaders in the North and South Americas region and assist with security incidents as appropriate, leveraging existing physical security services. This manager will work on designing, conducting and evaluating training, exercises and preparedness planning focused on catastrophic natural and manmade disaster scenarios. The incumbent will develop, write and revise emergency and incident response plans. Applies an extensive background in emergency management at the federal, state or local EM level, and leverage their experience in training executive level management personnel in emergency response. Experience with developing response plans, response integration planning and/or participating in exercise is required. The successful applicant will have strong cross group collaboration and communication skills and the experience to make effective presentations to all audience levels.

Industrial Hygienist (1/13/10)

The successful candidate will possess an advanced degree (Masters or PhD) in Industrial Hygiene (IH) or a closely related science/engineering discipline. An undergraduate degree in an engineering or science discipline is preferred and will be given strong consideration.
